TELCO CUSTOMERS -- Need a quick way
to make a go - no go decision on providing ADSL service to your
customers? Use our free
ADSL Bandwidth estimator to tell you
what bandwidth the customer will receive. Put in the length and gauge
of each wire section and it will tell you the bandwidth you can
deliver to that customer. You can fine tune the result by entering
aerial vs. buried, air temperature and SNR Margin. If the installer
doesn't get the result predicted, the tool shows ohms and attenuation
for each wire section so you can narrow down the problem without
calling in the OTDR test set! Naturally, it will tell you how much
bandwidth you will gain with a loop extender too! Go to

The DrayTek Vigor 2910 now supports
the addition of an optional 3.5G USB modem, providing high-speed
Internet connectivity over the latest generation of cellular
networks. The Vigor 2910's USB port can use a compatible USB cellular
modem to connect to a 3G Data network. This enables to you provide
web access anywhere that there is 3G coverage, without needing any
fixed broadband lines. The Vigor supports the latest '3.5G' networks
with HSDPA for speeds up to 3.6Mb/s (depending on adaptor/network).
This is ideal for temporary/mobile locations, Internet back-up, or
where fixed lines aren't available.
There are several products in the
DrayTek family that support multiple WAN interfaces and do load
sharing, load balancing & fail-over between them. All products in
the 2900 & 5000 series are dual WAN. The 3300V has 4 WAN ports.
And don't forget the 2820 with 1 ADSL + 100Mbit interfaces. The
Vigor2950 is a broadband router with dual-WAN interface It provides
policy-based load-balance, fail-over and BoD ( Bandwidth on Demand )
, and also integrates IP layer QoS, NAT session/bandwidth management
to help users control and allocate the bandwidth on networks. The
2950 is rack-mountable and has 802.11G options.
The VigorPro 5500 & 5300
products are similar to the 2950 & 2930, but add Unified Threat
Management . Anti-Virus, Anti-Spam, Anti-Intrusion capabilities are
built in. Stop the threat before it reaches your PC.
Use 2 VPNs over 2 WAN ports and
create double the bandwidth for large file transfers. A great
solution for transferring large medical images over multiple low
speed links! Available on 2930, 2950, 2820 & 5500 series.
A lot of you have been using
DrayTek specifically for the QoS control that it gives you. If you
can really prioritize VOIP outbound, you can get
crystal clear sound even over a DSL link. If you can identify the
packet by IP, port or ToS/Difserv, we can prioritize the service.
This is available on all products except 2100 & 2700 series.
Plain
Label Program
Several VARs have asked that we
make a version of the 3300V that doesn't have the DrayTek branding.
Apparently this router's QOS is the secret sauce that makes many
Asterisk solutions stand out in the crowd and it just isn't cool to
let the competition know about it. Here it is! Order the 3300V-PL!
Same price as 3300V. No Minimum Order Quantity.
We frequently get requests from
customers for unusual combinations of features on modems and routers.
For example, hotel and hot spot operators usually need a little slice
of the modem's compute power to present terms & conditions to the
user. Other people want to stick an Asterisk PBX inside the router.
It seems there is a growing desire to be able to do special features
on customer premise equipment. But, if any router ever tried to be
all things to all people, it would need lots of memory and cost as
much as a Cisco. Even the lowest cost ADSL modem today has more
compute power than any router or personal computer from only a few
years ago.
The open source movement has
created a great amount of free software that can easily be assembled
into very unique solutions. We are beginning to see equipment
manufacturers opening CPE to these special solutions. It is now
possible to run basic UNIX/Linux on these devices and allow customers
to use low cost hardware to build products that might cost 100 times
as much.
We now have a low cost $60 router
that can run Linux, function as an IP router and do additional
functions. If you have any special requirements, please contact us.
We can build a device customized to your special needs.
Introducing the carrier-class
DrayTek VigorAccess IVD series multimedia access DSLAM. The product
plays the role of access and media gateway on NGN based IP platform.
It provides various VoIP services such as MGCP and SIP to meet PSTN
migration of service providers and broadband services such as ADSL2+
on a single twisted pair, and Gigabit Ethernet service.
The Widearea ADSL loop extender has
been enhanced to offer better performance in the 15-20 Mbit range.
This is now an ideal solution for reaching new ipTV customers and
improving service quality for existing customers. Like the ADSL loop
extender version 5 that preceded it, it Is very flexible in its
placement location. Go out anywhere beyond 4000 ft (26AWG) and less
than 2/3 of the way to the customer and find any convenient pole or
pedestal. It generally improves your reach by 50%. Check out the
Bandwidth Estimator above if you want more precise details on the
improvement.
